I research Indoor Air in the Atmospheric Chemistry & Built Environment Group at The University of Chester. Here, I have worked on the set-up a new facility for studying air quality in the built environment.

The DOMESTIC facility consists of a shipping container kitted out with a kitchen/bathroom area and adjacent measurement laboratory, in which we study the influence of cooking and cleaning on Indoor Air Quality with a variety of instrumentation for measuring aerosol and trace gas components.

My research forms part of the EPSRC funded IMPECCABLE project carried out in partnership with The University of York and The University of Nottingham. Further details about this project can be found in this press release.

I have also been awarded funding from the Aerosol Society for studies using low-cost sensor technologies and from the STFC Air Quality Network for studying the relationship between sources, mitigation strategies and human behaviour on Indoor Air Quality. Further details about this study can be found in this blog post.
